Privacy Policy

We have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm and continuing commitment to the privacy of personal information provided by the applicants to those companies who have signed the employment background authorizations and to abide by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) which governs Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRA’s).   We hold the privacy of the applicant’s personal information in the highest regard. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for our CRA website.

We recognize the importance of protecting the applicant’s privacy and our policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information that has been provided to us by the company that you have applied to. This policy will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our customers’ needs.

What Information Do We Collect?

When our business customers visit this web site they provide us with personal information you knowingly chose to disclose and have authorized them to provide us with in order to conduct a pre employment or tenant screening background investigation.

Personal Information You Choose to Provide:

Applicant Information

When you applied for employment or to rent property from a company you provided the company with information about yourself and signed a release.

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?

Broadly speaking, we use your personal information for purposes of administering processing of the background investigation that we have agreed to process for the company you have applied to and providing the services that the company you applied to requested.

Furthermore, such information may be shared with others on an aggregate basis. Personally identifiable information will not be shared with parties except as required by law in the furtherance of our investigation. For example, if we need to check your name and date of birth against a court index in order to complete a criminal background check then we will provide your name and d.o.b. to our researcher for the purpose of conducting that index check as provided for under the FCRA.

Sharing and Selling Information

We do not share, sell, lend or lease any of the information that uniquely identify a subscriber (such as email addresses or personal details) or applicants with anyone except to the extent it is necessary to process transactions or provide services that you have requested.

How Can You Access and Correct Your Information?

You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by requesting a copy of our report from the company that you applied to.  This is a requirement of the FCRA.  We gather the information in our report from public sources such as court records or consumer credit reporting agencies or from a previous employer(s) which are clearly disclosed on the report that we have developed.  To correct this information you must contact the court or consumer credit reporting agency or previous employer that provided it to us.

What About Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information?

We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.
